Exercise is Medicine Month

The Healing Moves Foundation and the American College of Sports Medicine have teamed up with Governor Jim Gibbons and the State of Nevada to celebrate May as Exercise is Medicine™ Month.  Physical activity is a powerful solution to treat or prevent many of today’s health challenges.  Exercise can reduce your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer.  Healing movement can also enhance and speed recovery from illness.

During the month of May, we challenge you to 30 minutes of physical activity each day, no matter what your age or ability!  Together we can rise to the challenge to get active for life—a wonderful, healthier life!
